The Burning Man Community:

The basic belief in the Burning Man community is the concept that services like that which the Nautilus X provides are not rider fare charged or fee based. Once you enter the Black Rock City gates a true gifting economy is in practice. I established this principle as the cornerstone of the Nautilus X Project, and to this day I have never charged anyone to ride onboard and enjoy the many art tours we have provided (along with the live entertainment, which is also donated by scores of artists and performers). In fact, I have never received any funding for the project whatsoever! Instead I have relied upon the efforts of my volunteer crew and the community to continue this endeavor.
